Auto-hotspot tile that follows motion

A wall tile that can auto-follow the most-recently-moved camera in a configured set, with a 4-second dwell. Like the spotter in a security room, without the security room.

Desktop live-wallui

The desktop live wall has had a manual hotspot tile for a while. You click a camera, the hotspot shows it big. The new auto-hotspot mode flips that around: the tile automatically follows whichever camera in a configured set saw motion most recently, with a 4-second dwell between switches.

How it works

  • Configure a set of "watched" cameras for the hotspot tile (default: all)
  • When any watched camera sees motion, the hotspot tile switches to it
  • A 4-second dwell prevents thrash when multiple cameras trigger at once
  • Manual clicks still work; clicking a camera pins it until you let go

Also in this batch

The same change set fixed two long-standing rough edges on the live wall:

  • Right-click on a camera tile no longer accidentally switches the active camera
  • PTZ tile scaling is now correct across DPI changes

In commit 666ae92. Not yet released; it'll land in the next desktop drop alongside the on-video PTZ panel.
